And Then a New Jacket to Match

I did most of the sewing on this velour jacket at our ASG retreat a couple of weekends ago, then let it sit for no particularly good reason. This is Burda WOF 3/2005 #141, in a velour from Fabric.com. The zipper was a nuisance, since none of the local fabric stores had the right length, but it was otherwise easy to put together. I suspect there are very few other workout jackets with such elegant 2-piece sleeves. And, I got lots of compliments tonight when I wore it to work!

I’m going to have to make this again in a dressier, beefy knit like the designer intended — it’s a nifty pattern!
